John Sayers, Porter, is officially retiring after being part of the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) Materials Management team for just over 10 years.

“I’ve learned a lot over the years in the Materials Management Department. We have a great team, and everyone gets along really well,” he says.

John says he’s thankful for the connections he’s made during his time at SLMHC, and he’s going to miss seeing his colleagues every day.

“I’m going to miss everyone here. I’ve appreciated getting to know so many people during my time here… I’m also going to miss the cafeteria too,” he says.

“On behalf of everyone at SLMHC, we want to thank John for his devoted service and contribution to our team. We wish him all the best in his retirement,” says Heather Lee, SLMHC President and CEO.

John says he looks forward to enjoying more time with family, and fishing at his camp, during his retirement.

“I have three grandchildren that I’m excited to spend more time with. I’m just going to take my time, relax, enjoy fishing, and enjoy time out at our camp,” he says.
