SLMHC mourns sudden passing of influential elder, leader

Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) would like to express sincere condolences to the community of Sandy Lake First Nation, family, and friends of Elder Ennis Fiddler.

As Chairman of our Board of Directors, Ennis was a monumental healthcare advocate who helped pave the way for our SLMHC facility. He was a true leader, who helped ensure First Nations communities had equitable access to holistic, culturally appropriate healthcare.

Ennis was an influential, passionate leader everywhere he served. SLMHC is honored and privileged to have had Ennis leave a long-lasting legacy and impact on healthcare across the North and in Sioux Lookout.
