Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre recognizes how important connections with friends and family are during a time of illness. We fully support visiting and connection for patients and families during our designated visiting hours from 12 p.m. (noon) – 9 p.m. daily.
Time outside of these hours is considered quiet time and allows the health care team to ensure quality assessments, interventions, and medications are provided, as well as promotes the rest required for patients to support their healing. Visitation is not available outside these hours, apart from designated care partners required for children, palliative patients, and labor and delivery patients.
Designated care partners should speak with a patient nurse to be identified. Non-designated care partners after hours and any visitors acting inappropriately or disrespectfully towards patients or staff will be asked to leave.
