Influenza Outbreak Declared on Nursing Floor

For the safety of our patients, families, and staff, an influenza outbreak has been declared on the nursing floor. We are taking enhanced infection prevention and control precautions to help reduce the spread of illness. The decision to declare an outbreak is made in consultation with Public Health and following provincial guidelines.

Updated Visitor Guidelines

To help limit the spread of infection:

  • A Maximum of two visitors per patient is permitted at one time.
  • Please avoid visiting patients if you are feeling unwell, including symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, runny nose.
  • All visitors must perform hand hygiene upon entry and exit.
  • Masks need to be worn at all times while on the nursing floor and visiting a patient.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to keep our patients, visitors, and staff safe.
