In what has been a three-year journey from 2021 to 2024, Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) is proud to announce that it has achieved Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) designation through the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO).  

Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is pleased to announce the approval of a new protocol designed to enhance the care of pediatric patients, in the Emergency Department, experiencing pain. This initiative, adapted from reputable institutions like SickKids, The Children's Hospital of Winnipeg, and Lion's Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, aims to provide safe, quick, and effective pain management options.

A Zeiss operating microscope was graciously donated to SLMHC’s Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Specialty Clinic by the Hospital for Sick Children, located in Toronto.
