Job Summary:

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to be responsible for the performance of all duties related to the handling and processing general maintenance services throughout the hospital and surrounding exterior grounds and buildings. Under the guidance of the Journeyman and Building Systems Tech; performs tasks as assigned. Assists with workload based on maintenance requisitions, special projects, preventive maintenance programs and emergencies within the given resources of the department and hospital

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 or GED required
• Current valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs. required
• Must possess a mechanical and technical aptitude to be able to work on a variety of tasks
• Previous experience an asset

Job Duties:
• Working knowledge of minor plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs an asset
• Must have experience operating small equipment as required for grounds maintenance
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to follow direction
• Assist maintenance staff with ongoing projects and general maintenance duties
• Must be physically able to perform duties of the position

Physical Demands:
• Considerable walking, lifting, standing, pushing, pulling, and bending
• Frequently required to lift up to 30lbs

Salary:$26.70 - $28.80; an additional 18% in lieu of benefits in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement
