Job Summary:

The Manager of Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, and Telemedicine is accountable for the organization, management and leadership of the Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, and Telemedicine Departments within the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC).Through the use of leadership skills, management tools, an understanding of the decision making process and the responsible use of resources, the Manager leads the department in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services in alignment with organizational goals and objectives to ensure quality client care. The Manager works collaboratively with all members of the medical, nursing and allied health departments of the SLMHC.

• Professional designation in a regulated health discipline and/or relevant experience and education
• Certification and registration in an area of study as applicable in the Province of Ontario
• Current knowledge in concepts and trends in health care and change management

• Proven project management skills required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in related services/roles and or health care management
• Demonstrated abilities in leadership roles, effective communication, problem solving, team building, conflict resolution, decision making, managing change and group processes
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution, and people management skills
• Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills
• Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products and email required
• Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts

• Horizontal and vertical relationships throughout the departments and organization
• Ability to Supervise many levels of staff including but not limited to PT, OT, SLP, Kin, PTA/OTA, RN, RPN, Assistants, Clerks, students, volunteers and others as assigned
• Coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate departmental processes and projects
• Develop and support standards within the areas of responsibility
• Overall responsibility for hospital rehabilitation services and associated programs
• Coordination of human and material decisions for the assigned areas of responsibility
• Good Health and a demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis
• Ability to work in a high stress environment.
• Responsible for taking reasonable care to protect the health and safety of yourself and others by practicing and promoting safe work habits, using PPE and reporting unsafe acts or conditions
